Villa Mt. Eden Grand Reserve Bien Nacido Chardonnay 2007, Santa Maria Valley
California, Usa$19.95
Over-the-top, banana and pineapple aroma, followed by flavours like a butterscotch Sunday. Have with something big and worthy, like pasta with wild mushroom/cream sauce, or wild mushroom/chicken risotto. Fantastic.
Guenoc Cabernet Sauvignon 2009, Lake County
California, Usa$19.95
Nice Cali Cab Sav. Could have aged another year or two for maximum potential.
Arboleda Chardonnay 2010, Aconcagua Costa
Casablanca Valley, Chile$19.95
Fresh tropical fruits on the nose, very light oak, butterscotch taste. Very nice, recommended.
Coto De Imaz Reserva 2005, Doca Rioja
Rioja, Spain$20.95
Mature Rioja still showing red berry fruit and smooth smoky cedar. Great stuff.
Trapiche Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2010, Mendoza
Argentina$11.95
medium bodied cab, some cedar and berry notes. Not fantastic.
Tar & Roses Tempranillo 2011, Heathcote/Alpine Valleys
Victoria, Australia$15.25
Found the predominant flavour to be oak here.
Coyote's Run Black Paw Vineyard Chardonnay 2010, VQA Four Mile Creek, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$16.75
89/90. Had three bottles, with the correct pairing this was a 90 point wine to me.
Grant Burge Miamba Shiraz 2010, Barossa
South Australia, Australia$19.95
Bought this on clearance in 2015 for $10, not sure where they found the box. I picked up 3 and tried 1. Went back for the case the next day but it was gone. Nice heavy duty Shiraz, decant carefully at this point. 90 +
