Michele Castellani Cinque Stelle Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico 2005, Doc
Veneto, Italy$56.95
An excellent Amarone red wine from Italy.
Full-bodied, aromatic, ripe, raisiny, very little acid with hints of licorice, prune, fig and oak. Goes really well with stew, game, cheese and grilled meat. Long on the finish, and smooth. I highly recommend it if you are serving rich food.
It really is an elegant red wine. I would buy it over and over again. Lovely wine.
Le Ragnaie Brunello Di Montalcino 2005
Tuscany, Italy$49.95
A nice medium-bodied red wine from Tuscany. Tastes of flowers, cherries and oak. A nice wine but has a touch too much oak taste to my liking. I probably will not buy this again. If you must buy this wine, keep it in the cellar for a couple of years and you may like it more.

Medium-bodied, with tastes of cherry, tobacco, and spice. Smoky, dry and has a long finish. Goes well with steak and BBQ. This is an outstanding wine. I recommend it. Good price/performance ratio.

This is an excellent blend of chiraz, grenache and mourvedre from Australia. Delicious, smooth and complex with tastes of berries. Decant it for an hour after opening it and you will like it more.
This is one of the most enjoyable Australian red wines i have tasted. Highly recommended. It will score higher after cellaring for a few more years. I like it a lot already.
