Errazuriz Max Reserva Pinot Noir 2014
Aconcagua Valley, Chile$18.55
Far exceeded my expectations, lots of spice and good fruit and acidity, quite balanced. Nice southern hemisphere Pinot tastes like pinot from Chile, qui scores big point in my book for a pinot under 20. Good buy
Château La Fleur Pourret 2009, Ac Saint émilion Grand Cru
Bordeaux, France$39.95
classic, still tight/austere . Not overdone, good red fruit - requires food
Zymè Celestino Gaspari 60 20 20 2010, Veneto
Veneto, Italy$48.25
Typically venetian with dark fruit, generous amounts of oak and spice as well as a hint of sweetness. The French varietals do express themselves as well, especially in the form of bell pepper.
Albino Piona Bardolino 2012, Doc
Veneto, Italy$22.40
Some red fruit, hints of orange peel, spice...quite a complex bouquet. On the palate beahves somewhat like trousseau/ beaujolais. Light and high acid.
Pascal & Annick Quenard Mondeuse La Sauvage 2015
Savoie, France$24.50
Lucious lavender aroma dominates, on the palate it stays the course with notes of red and dark berry fruit and garrigue. Beautiful wine
La Crema Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2014, Sonoma Coast
California, Usa$34.95
Jammy and oaky pinot, ripe and Extracted. Good if that's your thing.
Quails' Gate Pinot Noir 2014, BC VQA Okanagan Valley
British Columbia, Canada$31.95
Ripe and viscous, the purpose fruit (strawberry and Some Reduced Slightly spice) is pure. Delicious wine. Reminds me of Oregon pinot without the excessive oak.
Stags' Leap Chardonnay 2014
California, Usa$41.95
Well integrated chardonnay, not over the top, good ripe fruit. Very good, but not exactly a bargain
