Domaine Voarick Vignes Blanches Mercurey 2007, Ac
Burgundy, France$23.95
Medium Ruby. Clean nose with bright fruit, cherry, a touch of camphor, earthy, smoke, pepper. A dry wine with plentiful tannin that has seen wood. Medium to medium plus acid with a slight medicine note on the mid-palate. A good length finish. Feb 2011.
Château De Mirande Mâcon Villages 2009, Ac

Pale straw with a light green tint. Citrus, tropical fruit, floral/perfumy, lots of minerality. Dry, wood on pallete, medium acid, mid weight, medium length. Feb 2011.
Chateau Bel Air 2008
Bordeaux, France$12.95
Medium-dark ruby. Black fruit, cassis, stewed fruit, smoked meat. Dry with fairly smooth tannins and some wood and balanced acidity. Medium weight with an average finish. All in all not too bad but nothing really stands out. Feb 2011.
Schoenheitz Linsenberg Riesling 2007, Ac Alsace
Alsace, France$17.95
Pale yellow/green tinge. Aromas of pear, citrus, yeasty at first - faded, some mineral. Hint of residual sugar, some bitterness on the pallete, medium weight and medium length finish. Okay but unremarkable. Tasted alone, perhaps with food would perk it up a little. Feb 2011.
Château Les Clauzots 2009, Ac Graves
Bordeaux, France$12.95
Medium gold colour with citrus fruits, grass, herb and floral on the nose. Dry with medium acid and medium weight with a bit of bitterness on the finish. After warming a bit it opened up and presented much better. Feb 2011.
Finca Flichman Misterio Malbec 2008, Mendoza
Argentina$8.95
Some cherry, blackberry, oak. It's a bit harsh with rough tannins and seemed a touch hot (listed at 13.5% though).. Drinkable. Tasted Dec 2009.
Cave De Saumur Cuvée Signee Chinon 2008, Ac
Loire, France$14.95
Medium ruby red. Fairly intense nose that was very vegetal. A bit more fruit comes through on the pallette - red fruits - but still quite vegetal. Low-med weight with medium length it came across a bit unbalanced. Feb 2011.
Prado Rey Bl8 Birlocho 2009, Do Rueda
