Medium garnet. Plum, cherry, raisins, liqeuered, tobacco. A dry full bodied wine with high concentration, a fair amount of tannin balanced with some extra acidity. A very long finish. A big wine, well balanced. March 2011.

Jean Luc Colombo Les Lauves Saint Joseph 2007, Ac

Nice intense nose of red and dark fruit, cherry, earth, smoked meat, pepper, leather. Dry with medium, fine tannin and a mid-palate adding sour cherry, plum, with medium acid and a fairly long finish. Lots going on here. Feb 2011.

Dark purple, clear, fairly intense nose, dark berry, plum, integrated wood, smooth tannin balanced with some acidity, med long finish. Good. Jan 2011.
