A real treat after sitting for a few years. This wine had a delicate aroma with a hint of oak, and was smooth and supple. The flavour profile showed some nice stone fruit and was very elegant.

Definitely an above average wine. Solid, deep, dark fruit flavours are displayed with a generous amount of oak. The mouth feel is very full and smooth and the finish is quite long.

The Chocolate Block 2013, Wo Western Cape

A very big wine, full of baking spices and dark fruit notes. The flavours are up front on the palette, but are composed. The wine needs a few hours to really open up - but becomes really approachable if allowed to breathe.

Very composed, very ripe and very powerful. This wine displays classic chianti flavours of cedar, spice and leather. The whole palette is very balanced, making all of these powerful notes work together instead of against each other. This is a quality bottle.

Poderi Angelini Primitivo Di Manduria 2010

A simply excellent primitivo. Notes of dried fruits, leather and cedar are rolled into this rustic package. There is a warming quality that is often found in primitivos/zinfandels with high alcohol. A real pleasure.

A real value for the price paid, this wine has a full, round mouth feel with good length. Dark fruit, cassis and oak. The tannins are very smooth, almost silky. It is evident that this wine was produced in a warm climate.
