Drinks really well after breathing for half an hour. A bit on the sweet side and high on the alcohol but more complex & enjoyable than Grenache-based wines from other countries like France for example. Tasted in August 2022.

Better than average Shiraz with nice finish. Fruity, medium-to-full-bodied with some oak. Tasted December 2012.

Lionel Osmin & Cie Mon Adour Tannat Madiran 2008, Ac

First time I tried this grape (Tannat). Not much complexity and a little bit harsh as is apparently common with this grape. Not a crowd pleaser, but more for wine lovers willing to try something new. Tasted August 2013.

Sampietrana Vigna Delle Monache Riserva Salice Salentino 2006, Doc

Interesting medium body wine that will probably n ot improve much with age. Try it now. A taste of Old World that will likely not appeal to those that like New World full-body wines. In a nutshell, very fruity, a little bit bitter. Tasted in December 2011.

Francois Lurton Janeil Cabernet Sauvignon 2011, Pays D' Oc Igp

Lacks complexity and was too sweet. Very disappointing but I guess you get what you pay for.... Tasted April 2013.

Valpantena Torre Del Falasco Ripasso Valpolicella 2010, Doc

Was pleasantly surprised with this 2010 vintage. Nice complexity and smoothness for only 2 years of age. Medium body. Tasted December 2012.

Decent everyday Pinot Grigio that proved a good match with fish tacos. Tasted January 2014.
