Louis Jadot Beaujolais Villages Combes Aux Jacques 2011
Beaujolais, France$17.95
Pleasantly surprised how smooth and low in tannins this wine was. Very good value. Tasted April 2013.
Sandhill Cabernet/Merlot 2010, BC VQA Okanagan Valley
British Columbia, Canada$19.95
Curiously, the scores and reviews for the 2009 vintage seem to apply better to the 2010 vintage. I really appreciated this wine. Was a good quality, smooth and nice finish. Will buy again. Tasted February 2013.
Villa Pozzi Merlot 2011, Sicily
Sicily, Italy$10.75
Decent Merlot for the price. Will have this wine on hand for the summer as this will be a great match for BBQ fare. Tasted January 2014.
Louis Bernard Côtes Du Rhône Blanc 2011, Rhône Valley
Rhône, France$12.95
Nice fresh wine which I discovered too late in the summer...Always great to try some new grapes and these were a nice surprise. Tasted September 2013.
M. Chapoutier Belleruche Côtes Du Rhône 2011
Rhône, France$16.95
Nice Cotes du Rhone (Grenache & Shiraz), which was so easy to sip on a warm summer night. Nice match for burgers. Was medium body with a peppery but smooth finish. Tasted August 2013.
Gabbiano Chianti Classico 2010
Tuscany, Italy$16.95
Great Chianti Classico. Perfect with or without food. Highly recommended, especially in this price range. Tasted October 2015.
Chateau Du Cleray Muscadet Sevre Et Maine 2012
Loire, France$13.95
Above average Muscadet that went perfectly with mussels marinieres. Tasted July 2014.
Fat Bastard Cabernet Sauvignon 2011, Vin De Pays D'oc
Languedoc, France$14.95
Decent Cab Sauv but don't expect too much from it. Could be a good choice for a BBQ party. Consider it like a better quality table wine. Tasted June 2015 (2013 vintage).
Dauvergne Ranvier Grand Vin Châteauneuf Du Pape 2010
Rhône, France$30.25
Great wine that opened up after 60-90 minutes from opening. The only complaint would be the high alcohol, but overall this was a great experience.Tasted March 2016.
