Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

La Posta Malbec Rosé 2021, Tupungato, Valle De Uco
Mendoza, Argentina$16.95
Screw cap. Lovely deep orange-peach colour. The medium-high intensity, fragrant nose has aromas of grapefruit, stony minerals, pomegranate, and grilled herbs, plus touches of blood orange, citrus, raspberry, and cherry. On the dry, medium+ bodied palate it has refreshing, vibrant acidity that lifts the grapefruit, stone mineral, citrus, pomegranate, and herbal notes. Nicely textured and slightly tannic on the back palate, with mineral, herbs, and grapefruit notes lingering on the long, dry, crisp, and juicy finish. Tasted June 2022.

Unoaked. The medium-high intensity nose offers attractive aromas of sour dark red cherry, spice, dark currant, strawberry, forest floor & earthy minerality, w/ hints of tea leaf & dried herbs emerging w/ time in the glass. On the medium+ bodied palate it delivers spiced dark berries, cherry, currant & forest floor replays on the flavour profile. It has fresh, juicy acidity & light, slightly grippy & youthful tannins that offer a pleasing textural mouthfeel. Nicely balanced throughout w/ dark berry, sour cherry & forest floor notes lingering on the long, succulent finish. Tasted Mar. 2023.

Seemingly improved since last tasted a year ago, this has a fresh and attractive medium-to-medium-high intensity nose of red and black cherry, tea leaf, and dried herbal aromas with a touch of reductive character. It's medium-bodied on the dry, crunchy palate with lovely, balanced aroma replays that echo on the flavour profile. It has fresh, well-balanced acidity alongside textured tannins with good structure. Cocoa, chocolate, and earthy oak notes linger on the long, savoury finish. Last tasted Nov. 2024.
