Sometime prior to Nov 2021.....must have had one but don't remember it, can only find 2. No recollection, which possibly doesn't say much for the wine???

June 24.....had with sockeye salmon, absolutely delicious! Smooth, medium bodied, lots of berry flavour. A PN I could drink for life and perhaps never tire of. Reminiscent of Oregon PN (maybe). Great value all considered. Next one in 12 months, next sockeye salmon season.
June 26…..had with Atlantic salmon. Still wonderful. Opinion same as above.

January 14, 2020....had with dinner at Casa Carbone with my sisters & husbands + Andrew, Crystal & Darcy. Was really really good. Fresh with a little tartness, smooth, medium bodied....clearly a well made wine. One of the owners commented on it saying was one of his favourites. I can see why.
Dec 28, 2021....celebrating Tina's birthday with J & K, C & A. Was once again lovely but has smoothed out some in the past 2 years losing some acidic bite resulting in less of a wow for me but still a great bottle of wine. Drink last one in 2022.

Sept 27, 2018...served pre-dinner (Gerrits, Steinmillers & Saconnes)...2 hours decant....really enjoyed, smooth & refined. Many years left, only hold off drinking unless need to.
January 14, 2023.....1.5 hr decant and could have used full 2 hours. Just got better and better with more time. So lovely like first time. Have last one next year or 2025.
Dec 24, 2025….had with Norah on Christmas Eve and enjoying a lovely French tortiere bought at Florence Meats.
Decanted 2 hours. Was absolutely lovely. Smooth as silk, and flavourful. Yummy

2015 -2019 one a year
>2014? with Saconnes......was underwhelmed but now believe it needed more time and more aeration
>June 2016 with Paul & Bev..aerated for 1 hour, 2 hours better I believe...bold & serious wine to be sure, look forward to the next one in 12 months
>Dec 28 2017....Tina's 60th birthday....absolutely stunning, was best of 3 enjoyed that night at Auberge (also had Champagne & 2007 CNP)...have next one soon!
Jan 20....my birthday, back at the house after dinner. Needed aeration, felt harsh/heavy. Rick H didnt enjoy compared to Chiantis at dinner.

now.....2021
Nov/21....I had purchased this as a gift for Tina. Sad she wasn't here to share with. I was expecting wonderful things from this bottle so saved it for a special occasion....dinner with the kids, Keith & June as guests, first time we had indoor dinner guests during pandemic. In my mind, this bottle did not disappoint. I really enjoyed its vibrant and juicy character. Quality wine. Chapoutier always delivers for me. Was worried it might not go well with cabbage rolls but it did indeed. Toasted to Chris, in her honour and memory.
Renato Ratti Marcenasco Barolo 2007, Docg
Piedmont, Italy$49.95
fall of 2017
February, 2020.....with Osso Bucco. Felt it was past its best, fresher would have been better....however, after half hour aeration wine smelt and tasted better and went quite well with the meal. Would buy again but drink sooner.
Inglenook Cask Cabernet Sauvignon 2009, Napa Valley
California, Usa$89.95
2018-2022* (gift from Crystal)
.....maybe open Sept 2021 for birth of second grandchild, as long as Crystal can enjoy as well.
June 2022....celebrating Crystal's birthday and M's Day. 9 1/2 years ago Crystal had gifted me this wonderful wine for Xmas 2012. A&C had only been dating a while so I was taken aback by her generosity so I always wanted to share it with her. The wait was worth it, superb with bbq steak. 90 minute aeration opened it up beautifully. Strong, bold, full bodied in every regard with a lovely finish. Dark berries galore. Crystal & I shared the whole bottle Fabulous! (93)
