A deep ruby in the glass with a fairly closed nose of plum and coffee. Nice plum fruit with firm tannins and a coffee note in the mouth. Still youthful. Needs some time.

The first whiff was, oh no, mushroom farm. But not to worry, lovely brown sugar and stewed pear developed, and lots of crisp green apple on the palate and in the finish. Not showing a lot of maturity yet so I would guess can safely age a few more years.
