Masi Costasera Amarone Classico 2015, Amarone Della Valpolicella
Veneto, Italy$56.85
A rich and concentrated wine. Smoked meat and berry came through. Really classy wine with tremendous flavour depth and mouth-coating finish.
Matteo Correggia Roero Arneis 2017
Piedmont, Italy$25.00
Lots of nice crisp citrus and white tree fruit, even a bit of honey. Smooth with decent depth of flavour.
Famiglia Berta La Berta 2016, Nizza Docg
Piedmont, Italy$37.95
Deep purple with some garnet. Lots of flavour depth--red fruit, nutmeg, leather. Mature. Round and softish. I wouldn't wait too long to drink this.
Charles Baker Riesling B Side 2019, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$22.74
Vibrant wine "typical" of Ontario riesling. Very crisp, basically dry with lingering finish.
Tenuta Garetto Barbera D'asti 2017, D.O.C.G. Barbera D'asti
Piedmont, Italy$26.18
I really enjoyed this wine. Fruity, mildly tannic and fresh acidity gives nice balance with depth as well. Drinking so well now.
Domaine Jean Claude Courtault Chablis 2019, A.O.C. Chablis
Burgundy, France$36.00
For me this was elegant, smooth and round. Great fruit depth. Well balanced. Simply went down very well.
Blomidon Brut Reserve 2011, Anapolis Valley
Nova Scotia, Canada$45.00
The first whiff was, oh no, mushroom farm. But not to worry, lovely brown sugar and stewed pear developed, and lots of crisp green apple on the palate and in the finish. Not showing a lot of maturity yet so I would guess can safely age a few more years.
Silvio Carta Serenata Cannonau Di Sardegna Doc 2019, Sardinia
Sardinia, Italy$36.36
Rustic, chewy wine. Cola and good fruit in the dried spectrum with black pepper. Ruby colour, Drier tannic finish.
Chateau Robin 2014, Castillon Cotes De Bordeaux
Bordeaux, France$26.13
An elegant wine built for food. Blackcurrant and dried fruit, smooth and well-balanced.
Claroscuro Malbec 2017, Vista Flores, Uco Valley
Mendoza, Argentina$23.70
Great value. Light to medium wine, balanced and elegant. Savoury and juicy with soft tannins. Colour at the rim just starting to turn. Drinking well right now.
