Bruno Zanasi Lambrusco Grasparossa Castelvetro 2019, Castel Nuovo Rangone Modena
Emilia Romagna, Italy$25.05
I can understand that this may a good example of Lambrusco but for me as a wine in general there is nothing special. Concord grape jam on the nose and bitter grape seeds in the flavour.
Clos La Chance Pinot Noir 2018, Central Coast
California, Usa$30.14
Silky smooth with good depth of fruit. Shows a lot of wood and is missing structure and elegance for the price.
Chehalem Chemistry Pinot Noir 2018, Willamette Valley, Oregon
Usa$27.15
Ripe fruit with good acidity, a little wood and soft tannins. Drinking well now. Excellent balance.
Henry Of Pelham Estate Pinot Noir 2019, Sustainable, VQA Short Hills Bench, Niagara Escarpment
Ontario, Canada$27.95
Vibrant in colour and flavour. Very moreish. Sippable yet with enough grip to accompany food. Excellent balance.
Sutherland Sauvignon Blanc 2019, Wo Elgin
Elgin, South Africa$14.95
Goof fruit and flavour. Lots of cooked green veggie notes on the nose. Best with food. Good value.
Famille Descombe Granite Beaujolais Villages 2022, Ac
Beaujolais, France$18.95
This is is super good value. With crunchy fruits balanced perfectly by fresh acidity. Paired well with baked stuffed port tenderloin. Strawberry, cherry, red apple and even lemon. Not much in the way of tannins at all. Tasted October 2024.
Cono Sur Bicycle Viognier 2009, Colchagua Valley
Chile$9.95
Lime, rose petal and custard on the nose. Adds apple and some spice in the flavour and finish. Zesty but quite rich are well. Very good value.
Le Mourre De L'isle Rosé 2009, Ac Côtes Du Rhône
Rhône, France$13.95
Medium pink almost mauve colour. Floral, strawberry, stone, honey aromas. Strawberry, lime and grapefruit flavours.
Abad Dom Bueno Crianza 2006, Do Bierzo
Galicia, Spain$15.95
Deep purple. Plum, chocolate and bitter almond aromas carry through. Liked the prominent black pepper notes that lingered. Good value.
Caliterra Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2012
Colchagua Valley, Chile$9.95
Med ruby, youthful look. Ripe blackberry with some green herbs on the nose. Fruity blackberry with vanilla and green herbs. Soft tannins. Very drinkable. Finishes with the fruit and slightly spicy note. Very nice for the dollars.
