Inniskillin Varietal Series Pinot Noir 2009, VQA Niagara Peninsula

Tasted September 2011. Very aromatic and tasty light red fruit with some nice classic pinot notes and finish. Very much enjoyed this wine, particularly at under $15.

Pinino Brunello Di Montalcino 2005, Docg

Tasted Dec 2011. Had with Christmas dinner and enjoyed immensely. Ripe cherry and raspberry flavours subdued by smooth oak and leather tones. Very nice balance and finish. Would recommend.

Pelee Island Cabernet Franc 2009, VQA Ontario

Tasted Nov. 2012. Juicy red fruit (cherry, red plum) flavours with a stronger than anticipated tannic finished. Not bad overall for an everday wine, and always welcome alongside a slice of pizza.

Falesco Vitiano 2008, Igt Umbria

Tasted Feb 2013. Light berries with a strong tannin finish. Straightforward, but quite pleasant.

Perrin Réserve 2009, Ac Côtes Du Rhône

Tasted Jan 2012. A nice soft cherry forward wine with some spice to it. Enjoyed it even more the second day as it took on a bit of earthy subtleness to it. Excellent GSM blend for the price.

Castillo De Monseran Garnacha 2010, Carinena

Tasted August 2011. Very rich dark fruit flavours with a hint of mint. Great value.

De Bortoli Db Reserve Pinot Noir 2008, South Eastern Australia

Tasted July 2011. A solid pinot for the price.

Campo Viejo Reserva 2006, Rioja

Just a solid go to Rioja that many friends and family have enjoyed over the years.

Tasted Nov. 2012. Very light and clean taste of fresh cherries and blackberries with almost a hint of mint and spice. Like an artisan mixed berry jam without the sweetness. A surprisingly nice blend at a very reasonable price.
