Ataraxia Serenity 2007, Wo Western Cape
South Africa$20.45
95 Retasting of a second bottle, this deep purple wine is an enticing blend of Pinotage, Shiraz, Viognier and Pinot Noir. Scents of ripe cherries, dried dark berries, mocha and spice are augmented by undertones of leather, cedar and vanilla bean, from 16 months aging in French oak barriques, (31% new).
Napa Cellars Zinfandel 2008, Napa Valley
California, Usa$24.95
This is not a brambly style Zinfandel, but a juicy fruit driven version. Delicious and approachable, it has a full palate of blackberries and strawberry compote, accented with cedar, spice, black pepper and smoky nuances in the long finish.
Wente Riva Ranch Chardonnay 2008, Monterey
California, Usa$24.95
From the Arroyo Seco region of Monterey, California, it is part of their Heritage Block line from a family-owned winery, whose roots date back to 1883. Enticing aromas of ripe peach, pineapple, and Bartlett pear greet the nose, and carry through on the richly textured palate. The oak influence gives it extra body. Wafts of smoke and vanilla emerge on the lingering finish from eight months spent on the lees.
Carrick Pinot Noir 2007, Central Otago, South Island
New Zealand$39.95
Deep red in colour, ripe dark plums, cherries, mocha and violets leap from the glass. Aging in French oak barriques (one third new) adds additional complexity, defined by savoury notes and cedar, spice and vanilla on the powerful, concentrated palate.
Amisfield Pinot Noir 2008, Central Otago, South Island

Plum purple in colour, this rich, juicy wine offers enticing aromas of sweet ripe cherries, damson plums, and rose petals that carry through on the palate. Fine grained tannins combined with streaks of earthiness, savoury notes and pomegranate fruits leave a pleasant, medium long finish.
Durbanville Hills Shiraz 2008, Durbanville
South Africa$11.95
Medium plum colour. Attractive dark berry fruits, with black pepper, spice and a touch of cedar. Enticing undertones of cocoa and sage. Firm palate with a lingering finish.
Bellingham Fair Maiden 2008, Wo Coastal Region
South Africa$17.95
A unique blend of Roussanne (30%), Chenin Blanc (22%), Verdelho (22%),Grenache Blanc (14%) and Viognier (7%), this is a tasty expression of a fruit cocktail. White peach, orange blossoms, melon and canned pears are complemented by sweet vanilla from aging in French oak.
