Jan 2022.....when first opened and took an initial sip I did not like, had an unpleasant green taste to it. Twenty minutes later it had transformed itself into something much more respectable. Tasty, juicy, smooth. Absolutely enjoyed the rest of the bottle with a variety of meals, it went with everything.

Dec 24....pretty sure only have 2 left, think I tried one and wasn't impressed (needed more time?) plus one given as a gift?....wait until 2026 to try next one.

Per JS at peak now (2026) so drink quickly with a light chill (was JS 1 & only)

July 2026….had st Brian’s place while Jim & Judy were there. First bottle opened. It was ok but nothing special. Paled in comparison to wines I usually bring and what was consumed with dinner (Burrowed Owl Merlot)
July 2026…..had second bottle at Norah’s and while simple it is still an enjoyable and tasty glass of wine in the medium spectrum range. Not really complex but inviting. Will not offend.

1st one (2013ish) had with Coq au vin, but wasn't impressed despite Gord on Grape's 92+ rating and food suggestion.......fast forward to June 2018 surprised it was still drinkable, had with 8 oz bbq burger which it went well with; wine was smooth and mellow and distinctly aged.....a pleasant surprise all round!
