March 2021.....had with steak amoung other dishes, decent wine for the money. Enjoyed it, smooth, mature but still vibrant and succulent. Tasty but not refined.

Tormaresca Trentangeli 2012, Doc Castel Del Monte
Puglia, Italy$19.95

Had first one sometime in 2016/17, wasn't all that impressed. Thought. couple of years aging might help. Probably did, in 2020 was nice but still wasn't won over by it. Had with eggplant parmigiana but maybe required richer foods. Probably wouldn't buy again.
Monte Del Frá Lena Di Mezzo Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore 2013, Doc

Feb 2022....don't remember how many I had bought but it was a few (maybe 3 or 4).....really enjoyed this wine, can remember saying to myself how this wine embodied so much of what I love in a wine. Chris really enjoyed it too. Remember serving at our Xmas bike group party. Good stuff!
Salentein Reserve Malbec 2014, Uco Valley, Mendoza
Mendoza, Argentina$17.95
July 2020....pretty sure this was a xmas gift from Majid.....it turned out to be a pleasing bottle of wine, smooth, tasty, creamy, not offensive in any way other than lacking a certain depth. It exceeded my expectations. Had with both chicken (satisfactory) and steak (great). (89)

July 2021....must have already had as I don't recall seeing it lately. Sorta remember drinking it but it certainly didn't leave much of an impression with me because I cant recall it.
Mullineux Kloof Street Red 2014
South Africa$15.75

...had several over time starting back at Gerrit's cottage in 2016....quite unusual tasting but nice and different for a change but you tire of it quickly. Unique.
January 2020....always starts out with that funky S.A. smell and taste but burns off after about 30 minutes and it becomes quite a nice smooth food friendly wine. Had it with several dishes over several nights, they all worked. Would buy again but probably only one per vintage if a good one.
Quinta De Saes Red 2013, Doc Dão
Dão, Portugal$15.75
2019/20
Oct 2019....don't remember the first 3, per se, except for a positive impression and hoping for even more with some aging. Well here it is some 2 or 3 years later and I have to say I love Portugal wines.... great flavour, great value.
