Mullineux Kloof Street Red 2014

...had several over time starting back at Gerrit's cottage in 2016....quite unusual tasting but nice and different for a change but you tire of it quickly. Unique.

January 2020....always starts out with that funky S.A. smell and taste but burns off after about 30 minutes and it becomes quite a nice smooth food friendly wine. Had it with several dishes over several nights, they all worked. Would buy again but probably only one per vintage if a good one.

Oct 2019....don't remember the first 3, per se, except for a positive impression and hoping for even more with some aging. Well here it is some 2 or 3 years later and I have to say I love Portugal wines.... great flavour, great value.

Aug 2020....pretty sure don't have any more. Both may have been a gift to me from Anne D. Think I returned one and drank the other. Recollection was thin and nothing exciting and nothing like the exceptional 2007 vintage.

Santa Carolina Specialties Dry Farming Carignan 2012, Cauquenes Valley

July 2020....always have enjoyed Carignan and in particular this Wineries version. Great taste and good value. Full bodied and delicous. Had with chicken, ok but needs red meat. Next time have with steak, lamb or sausage. Drink last one in fall of 2020. (90)

Dec 21....I see an empty bottle, must be gone. Don't recall much but I believe was just alright, simple. Didn't bother buying more.

Mayu Reserva Carmenère/Syrah 2014, Elquí Valley

September 2020.....loved this wine, so smooth, so delicious, Full, fruity, salivating. Had with steak, and a lamb burger on another night....went great! Great great value here. Loved the fact that Mayu is Inca for the Milky Way!! Pretty sure this wine was recommended by the Newmarket Leslie St LCBO Manager. In terms of enjoyment reminds me of some bargain Malbecs we used to have some 5=6 years ago. Wish I had bought more.

Errazuriz Aconcagua Costa Pinot Noir 2016

Mar 2022....very nice 'Chilean' pinot. Had a lovely berry aroma and flavour. Quite smooth and succulent. Enjoyed with a WeCook Cod dinner, worked out great. Happy with the purchase.

drank sometime during 2020 I believe, few recollections however I do believe it was better than I thought it was going to be. A positive experience.
