April 2020....definitely mature, very garnet in colour, but was quite lovely with lasagna. Medium bodied, smooth and flavouful, though lacking some zip due to age I suspect.....still, a very elegant wine and much enjoyed, drank half the bottle with little trouble. :-)

May 2020.....had with a gourmet mac 'n cheese (made by Lynne/Tom)...might have paired better with bbq.....can tell there was some quality with this wine but not being a huge Bordeaux fan and the fact that I thought there was a funk factor with this wine, didn't enjoy quite as much as I had hoped for. The funky aroma ruined it for me. Don't think i was drinking it late but who knows, maybe better a year prior? (88)
