Louis Latour Chardonnay 2009

Fairly forgettable.
Thurlow's ". Not very exciting but correct. " is a pretty accurate description.
Would not purchase again.
For a French Burgundy it tastes a lot like a whatever- American unoaked or steel oaked chardonnay

Second White wine at LCBO Old Wine Appreciation course notes:
-Yellow, golden colour
-Nose: floral and vanilla (although instructor said lemon-lime and grapefruit!)
-Sweet, subtle and smooth
-Low acidity makes for a sweeter taste

lcbo old world wine- italy 2/8
This is an unfortunate result- the descriptor is EXACTLY what I would usually ask for in a wine but the actual tasting was "meh".
deep ruby colour, woody, wet cedar, sweet on smell.
-medium to firm tannin with long finish, medium body , sweet with dry finish.
-vanilla and sweet red berry . Smokey with NO hints of pepper or spice.
woodspice, rustic wine- good but.probably would not purchase.
I think this is the case of just not liking Italian wines.

-low acid, dry- good, but would not purchase. Good price- just not especially memorable

Woodbridge By Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon 2009, California

I've never particularly liked Mondavi- although the winery is admittedly beautiful.
Mondavi is a crowdpleaser and safe, good value for the average diner.

lychee, fruity, aromatic, raspberry
-juicy, ripe strawberry

-nice rose, blsuh wine. canteloupe
-would chooose for a very affordable dessert wine
-i would rather have a drier but less acidic wine than such a sweet wine.
-but generally quite good value!

would purchase if i were looking for this
-would be nice with raspberries in a champagne flute with soft cheeses.

-brunch wine-, alternative to mimosa.

-taste like the back of a cabinet

nice rose.
probably would not purchase unless a rose was in order- and I can't imagine that happening.
