Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon 2007, Knights Valley, Sonoma County
California, Usa$39.95
Dry, smooth tasting cabernet sauvignon. Blackberry flavours. Nice, but not overpowering tannins. Long finish. Good balance. Goes well with steak. Tasted July 2011.
Huff Estates Pinot Gris 2011, VQA Ontario

From the winery website. "Lively white floral aromas suggesting orange blossom underscored by grapefruit and lime. A backbone of acidity enhanced by minerality paves the way to flavours of recurring citrus. A clean appealing finish. An ideal aperitif offering."
A very nice wine that we picked up while visiting the winery. Tasted September 2012.

Huff Estates Sculpture Series Riesling Reserve 2011
Ontario, Canada$21.95
From the winery:. "Pale straw in colour, our dry-edged riesling
is marked by white peach and mandarin aromas supported by delicate floral notes. A gush of acidity rewards the palate with recurring peach and notes of orange peel on the way to a mineral-laden finish."
Outstanding. We picked up a couple bottles while visiting the Huff Estates. Wish we had of picked up a few more in hindsight. Tasted September 2012.
