Pisse Dru Beaujolais Blanc 2009
Burgundy, France$12.00
Definitely not something I'd recommend. Tasted February 2012.
Two Oceans Sauvignon Blanc Brut 2009, Western Cape
South Africa$12.95
Was okay for making cocktails. Not sure I'd want to drink much of it on its own. Priced accordingly however, so no complaints there. Tasted November 2012.
Ojai Bien Nacido Syrah 2005, Santa Barbara County
California, Usa$39.90
Silky smooth. What a lovely Syrah. Well structured and perfectly balanced. Dark ruby coloured. The tannin level is noticible but not overpowering Berries, and leather on the nose. Intense. And concentrated on the palate. I will definitely will be picking up a few more for the cellar, as this wine will certainly improve even more over the next few years. Tasted February 2012.
Evolution White, Organic
Usa$14.45
Pleasing blend of 9 mystery grape varieties. A nice wine to keep on hand for when company stops by. Evolution is the sister wine of Sokol Blosser's equally tasty red blend, Meditrina. Tasted January 2012.
Le G De Château Guiraud 2009, Ac
Bordeaux, France$19.65
A pretty hohum white blend. Nothing memorable, but will likely please the casual wine drinker. Tasted April 2013.
Churton Pinot Noir 2008, Marlborough, South Island
Marlborough, New Zealand$31.75
Excellent Pinot Noir. Very subtle tannins. A nice light red wine choice. Pairs well with pork tenderloin. Tasted September 2012 and August 2013.
Lillet Blanc
Bordeaux, France$23.45
Very nice tasting aperitif. Lingering tastes of citrus fruits. Best served ice cold. A favourite in our house.
