Paxton Mv Shiraz 2011, Mclaren Vale, South Australia
South Australia, Australia$17.95
Well integrated dark fruit notes, pepper, and light wood influence. Ready now.
Georges Vigouroux Pigmentum Malbec 2011, Ac Cahors
Southwest, France$12.15
decent BBQ wine. Aged Cheddar burgers.
Errazuriz Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2013
Aconcagua Valley, Chile$12.95
This is my go-to Sauv Blanc. Passion fruit aromas, crisp and tasty. We went through a case of this easily over the vintage.
Angels Gate Riesling 2010, VQA Beamsville Bench, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$13.95
nice, dry, mineral-driven riesling. Recommended.
Santa Carolina Reserva De Familia Carmenère 2010, Rapel Valley
Rapel Valley, Chile$18.95
Enjoyed this with a BBQ strip loin. Ready to drink, loved it.
Giesen Riesling 2012, Marlborough
Marlborough, New Zealand$7.45
I believe we had the 2011. Nice wine, kind of a petrol smell but tasted nice, slightly off-dry. A bit of a German-minerally taste. Good with the turkey dinner at Christmas.
Delaforce Touriga Nacional 2011
Douro, Portugal$17.75
Deep dark colour, a powerful wine. Coming together nicely now (April 2016) but this should do well for several years easily. Pair with a grilled steak or lamb.
Cantine Sant' Isidoro Pausula 2012, Doc Colli Maceratesi
Marche, Italy$9.75
Acceptable but not memorable. Decent acidity - try with seafood.
M. Chapoutier Rasteau 2012
Rhône, France$19.95
Needs some time to take the edge off, will try again in 2015.
