Cave De Roquebrun La Grange Des Combes Saint-chinian-roquebrun 2010, Ac
Languedoc, France$18.95
Not overly deep or complex, but extremely smooth, reasonably flavourful and very accessible for such a high % of Grenache. Enjoyable & good deal
André Blanck Altenbourg Gewürztraminer 2012, Ac
Alsace, France$18.95
No longer huge but well evolved, very long, complex, with classic flavours.
Excellent balance with alcohol providing just a touch of heat, and enough viscosity counterbalancing the depth of flavour
Penfolds Max'S Shiraz/cabernet 2021, South Australia
South Australia, Australia$29.95

Cafaggio Cortaccio 2008, Igt Toscana
Tuscany, Italy$24.95
Not a crowd pleaser but wonderfully old school. Wish wine like this was still common. Heavy on the cedar but balanced, pleasantly intense with a complexity and length you don't get from fruit forward wines. Makes you stop and think. Drink now, probably at peak.
Best'S Bin No. 1 Shiraz 2014, Great Western, Victoria
Victoria, Australia$21.95
Took Michael's advice, it's at prime now. Less the bruiser after 6 years, its lost the nervous edge and is smooth, well mannered and highly satisfying
