Coudoulet De Beaucastel 2010, Ac Côtes Du Rhône
Rhône, France$29.95
Absolutely stunning, first glass was popped and poured and then let the rest decant for 30 mins and it really opened up. Sad this was the only bottle I bought but gives me hope for it’s big brother I have
Evergreen Red 2008, VQA Niagara On The Lake
Ontario, Canada$15.75
Really well done for the price. Hard to tell it’s 10 yrs old, almost no sediment or staining on the cork. Decanted an hr and had with beef kabobs, matched really well.
Dr. Hermann Erdener Treppchen Riesling Auslese 2005, Prädikatswein
Mosel, Germany$23.95
Really well done, felt like there was plenty of life left. Lots of sweetness and the wiff of petrol was definitely there
Dr. Hermann Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Spätlese 2007, Prädikatswein
Mosel, Germany$18.95
amazing value
Paul Bosc Estate Equuleus 2012, St. David's Bench
Ontario, Canada$50.00
50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% of both Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Made only in the warmest vintages in Niagara, this is the best Equuleus yet, a more modern style that's approachable now yet will age for 10-20 years. The nose shows rich cherry, a touch of raspberry and then lavish cassis, concentrated black currants and fine oak spices. It is smooth on the palate with generous fruit flavours, fine tannins and integrated spices that echo on the long finish.
Gérard Bertrand Cuvée Thomas Jefferson Brut Crémant De Limoux 2015, Méthode Traditionnelle, Ap, Languedoc, France
France$19.95
Plenty of fizz and tartness
Niepoort Dão Rótulo Red 2013, Doc Dão
Dão, Portugal$15.25
Touch bitter
Second bottle:
Time has softened this and it’s a real pasture now
