really liked....served at Cycle Therapy dinner at our house in 2014?

Sept 2018....had with eggplant pasta.....with half hour aeration, it was lovely going from a little gritty at first to deliciously smooth. (next night with chili, equally good).....will have to pay more attention to Chianti Rufina in future.

June 30 2017 with cedar planked salmon...distinct NZ taste, seemed a little hot but in balance, smooth, lots of flavour, quite enjoyed with a little air time but would probably pass on buying a second bottle (90)

...opened it to celebrate Crystal's new job....Crystal loved it, I enjoyed but was underwhelmed, was expecting more. Very refined, mature, smooth....felt like it lacked some pizzazz....all in all I will give it a 91 but for my palate not worth the coin.

August 2019.....had with lamb skewers while Erin was in town....good wine but a little on the ordinary side, nothing exceptional. Would have again but would drink it earlier in its life cycle.

Great looking bottle as a gift!

August 2020....had with asian marinated pork chops, maybe not the best match but wine was good. Rich & smooth but didn't think it was as good as Frei Brothers version (2012) which I loved a lot! Still, a good wine to have with the right meal.

Dec 2020...delicious, loved it so much drank half bottle without batting an eye. Had with Maunder's butter chicken, went very well I thought. Lovely smooth velvet feel, dark fruit, rich, so enjoyable. Might have to keep last one (not gift)...drink 2022?
