July 2021....had with salmon melts. First sip seemed harsh, with a distinct flavour and bite, but with food and 15 minutes in the glass, quite enjoyable. Not sure I would buy again. Prefer NZ in this price range. Must have had the first one some time prior but don't remember it.
Mullineux Kloof Street Red 2016
Swartland, South Africa$17.25

June 2021....it was ok and had toned down no doubt over time. The flavour of this wine is so different and unusual. Was a novelty at first but quite honestly has worn off on me. Don't buy again.

Ama Chianti Classico 2016, Docg, Tuscany
Tuscany, Italy$35.95
December 2020...had with gnocchi Bolognese, was hoping for something great given the high ratings of the same vintage Grand Selezone....might want to buy more, but don't think I will. Nice enough but on the lighter and tarter side of CC, I like them a little fuller and richer. Lots of tart red berries, thin.
If $23 would repurchase but not at $35.
2017 and especially 2018 supposed to be better.

x2017x, x2019,x 2020, 2021*....be careful not to let it go too long (not sure about 2024?), tasting in 2020 will help....did taste Oct 2020, still in great shape. I'd say 2021 or 2022 latest. Have with steak and aerate 1 hour if possible.
First bottle gone, not sure if drank or gifted.
Oct 2020....rich and intense. Alcohol a little heavy at 15% but after 30 minutes of breathing the burn dissipates. Solid glass of wine which I quite enjoyed with lamb curry (perhaps not best match but quite alright). A quality product and a shiraz I can tolerate. (91)
