A lovely light yellow Pouilly Fume. Fresh, vibrant nose needs no coaxing. Mineral notes, lemon, apricot, and some florals . The attack is creamy, complex, mouth watering. Up front citrus fruit tranistions lingeringly to green, herbal and bitter flavours. Excellent length. I enjoyed sipping this dry, crisp savvy, but it also worked nicely with a cheese plate and with chicken and pork kabobs. June 2014.
This is exactly what I look for in Sauvignon Blanc. Lime, mandarine, tangerine, along with a hint of herbal (thyme, tarragon), and a good bit of minerality on the nose. It's medium bodied with high acidity and a long finish, it has the classic citrus and minerality that makes Loire Sauv Blanc so tasty. It's not all that complex, but everything's exactly as it should be. This is one classy wine! Good value as well. Tasted November 2014.
