So often, unoaked Chardonnay can be aggressive, sour and edgy (that’s why many producers add oak influence to the equation) but there is a softness here that I find intriguing: notes of pear and ripe red apples; the finish is crisp and clean with a slight mineral quality. Since opening their doors in 2005, this family owned winery has gained numerous awards under the skillful hand of winemaker Richie Roberts. Showing a wide spectrum of varietal characters, including apple blossoms, juicy Bosc pear, ripe green apple, and peach, it is made in a crisp, refreshing style. The distinct terroir of the Beamsville Bench comes through in the underlying flinty, earthy tones.
Drink now to 2012
2011 vintage. Melon and kiwi aromas from the glass. Quite flavourful with more melon and kiwi on the palate. Dry, medium-bodied with fresh acidity. Tasted June/2012.

Honey, lime, pineapple, and green apple on the nose. It has plenty of fruit and crisp acidity, but it is not aging well and is not very exciting.
Not bad... Tasted April 2012
