Wow! Now here's great value! The aglianico grape is considered to be the nebbiolo of southern Italy - firm, gutsy,...
Simply fruit forward, juicy and quaffable aglianico, for good and for a change. Tang and red floral scents meet...
Clean, fruity, earthy, light-mid-weight, swarthy, perfectly serviceable and authentic at the price. Drink 2020-2022....

Certainly lighter than many aglianico and fresher too, made in a less oxidative style than we are accustomed to from the grape/region. Crisp cherry fruit, currants and a bit of spice, finishing with fairly light tannin and a citrusy note that almost calls to mind Riesling (as odd as that sounds). Not quite what I was expecting but an enjoyable wine and easy rec at $15. Tasted Feb 2019.
The medium+ intensity nose delivers black spice, herbs, smoke, dark berry, currant, and dark plum aromas. It's medium+ bodied on the palate with nice smoky replays and juicy acids. Fine tannins are smooth and nicely textured. Finish length is very good. Tasted Jan/2020.

Light-weight and simple. An oddly sweet but also rough finish. Interesting wine but I am not giving this points for poise.
