Black cherry, mint, and herbs on the nose. It has a good amount of fruit, with some slightly green tannin, and is medium-bodied. Good, but nothing exceptional.

Barossa Valley Estate Shiraz 2012, Barossa Valley

Plums, smokiness, and spices on the nose. Black fruit on the palate, with crisp acidity and firm tannins.

Mission Hill Five Vineyards Rosé 2014, Okanagan Valley

Strawberries, raspberries, lemon, and floral notes on the nose. It tastes off-dry and has a good balance of fruit and acidity. Nothing outstanding though.

Quarisa Caravan Petite Sirah 2013, South Eastern Australia

Cherries, spices, and meatiness on the nose. Flavours of berry fruit, soft tannin, and medium-bodied. Very smooth.

Lemon fruit and floral notes. It is fizzy, light-bodied, and has crisp acidity. Lovely summer wine or first wine of the evening.

Blackberries, prunes, plums, herbs, and pepper on the nose. Ripe fruit on the palate with some earthy undertones. Excellent value.

Two Oceans Pinot Noir 2010, Western Cape

Black cherry with earthiness and smokiness. OK fruit and medium-bodied, but the tannins still dominate. Will probably not improve.
