Plum, blackberry, mint, and herbs on the nose. Plenty of fruit on the palate, but the tannins are still a bit harsh. Medium-bodied with good length on the aftertaste.

Peaches and lemon with a hint of grassiness on the nose. Fairly crisp acidity and good amounts of fruit with a decent length of the aftertaste.

Red berry fruit and spice on the nose. Very fruity and easy-drinking with a medium body. Excellent value.

Cherry and blackberry on the nose with some tabacco. Medium-bodied with some good fruitiness, but nothing of any substance.

Obikwa Shiraz 2010, Western Cape

Smoky, chocolate, peppery, meaty, and prunes on the nose. These flavours carry through to the palate. Plenty of ripe fruit and a lingering aftertaste. Simple wine, but excellent value.
