Monsanto Chianti Classico Riserva 2006
Tuscany, Italy$34.95
now
Don't recall the exact date that it was consumed however it was late in its evolution. I would guess 2017. Held off drinking it until Chris was able to partake as she had purchased it for me as a gift. Also had same wine when in Italy, but perhaps not the same vintage. Enjoyable bottle of wine, but don't remember being wowed by it. Its connection, who gave it to me and the writing on the bottle is what made it special. Added to the empty bottle collection.
Jackson Triggs Okanagan Estate Proprietors' Grand Reserve Shiraz 2006, VQA Okanagan Valley
British Columbia, Canada$19.95
April 2020.....ancient history....recollection is it reminded me very much of an Austrailian shiraz but better somehow. Remember buying 3, but only kept two...scaling back on recent purchase which in this case was probably the smart thing. It was good, but not great.
Altaïr Sideral 2005, Rapel Valley
Chile$21.85
June 2021....pretty sure bought 2 of these.
Recollection is first one had a really strong funky aroma, would not appeal to many. Wine was strong & full. The second one was had late in its evolution and had tamed some. I may have enjoyed it a little more this way.
