A terrific value here from Mulderbosch in this fleshy, ripe, juicy, well-balanced, fruity chenin, a South African specialty. I love the yellow-fleshed orchard fruit flavours, the creamy-fresh acids, the depth and persistence at such a reasonable price.

2025 vintage. This is a typical, light bodied, slightly fizzed Vinho Verde with a touch of sulphur on the nose, atop lime, grapefruit and green apple.
Bright citrus, a bit effervescent, sour apple finish. Triple thumbs up.

Nice enough, a little sour on the finish. K prefers the Radford Dale.
The Winery of Good Hope is a less expensive brand by Radford Dale which makes exemplary Stellenbosch wines. The grapes for this excellent value are grown in the same vineyards by the same people, but costs are kept lower through production and bottling measures. It is not as firm and structured as the Radford Dale Vinum Chenin Blanc that only costs $5 more, but it is generous, ripe and satisfying with just enough acidity.
