This is youthful and exuberant yet nicely compact and complex. There is lemon, pineapple, fresh herbs and wet stone...
This Riesling produced in the Kelowna area is the epitome of a good white wine of terroir and cool climate. 15 grams...
Two months later things have changed and yet not at all. There are more tricks and inducements (as compared to 2010)...
I've tasted this wine several times now and have found some variability in the bottles (under screw cap), or perhaps...
White flowers, pear and apple on the nose along with some exotic citrus, lemon and lime. The palate is off-dry...
Showing Tantalus' hand with riesling, this wine maintains a steady bead of pulpy lime acidity even though warm 2015...
The just off-dry style of BC and Tantalus makes it work so well. Melon and rocks salad with a twist of lime juice....

The nose is dominated by ripe, pithy lime and wet rock, with delicate traces of white peach, yellow apple/pear, white flowers, and vague spice. Hits the palate with jaw-tingling lemon/lime, then moves through lightly honeyed peach and apple, onto lingering wet rock, citrus pith, and ginger/nutmeg. The wine is off-dry, though the acidity cuts through the residual sugar to balance things beautifully. The aromas in particular seemed a bit shy, but I imagine it will open up nicely in a year or two.

Slightly reserved lime pulp, lime zest, melon, honey, and stone. Quite weighty and surprisingly lush in the mouth, high acid balanced with some residual sweetness. Looking for more drive and depth, especially considering Tantalus's renowned prowess with the grape, but still well made.
