Popov Merlot is great! The reviews by the WineAlign crew were dead on! Its not always easy to choose a wine from the large LCBO selection. Thanks to winealign I have found my new favourite wine! Im giving Popov Merlot a 90!

Opened this one at a birthday party, was unpaired with any substantial food, but enjoyed it with some cheese and vegetables.
Very easy drinking with good aroma and length for this price. Would buy again.
I'm going against the consensus on this one. Opens plush and lush and with some complexity as noted, but shows alcohol heat and slight bitterness on the finish. Familiarity doesn't work in favour of this one. Interesting as a diversion but I wouldn't buy again, (Review on day after opening.)
