Great wine. Smokey and dark. I enjoyed this one the most during the Wine and Cheese night with Brittany and Sarah. They both liked it as well
A dark purple wine, the nose develops nicely with the bottle open for an hour and is full of baking spices, chocolate and oak. The palette is full of dark fruits with a reasonably long finish. This out performs other Malbecs at the price – and is a steal when it goes on sale.
This purple ruby opaque Malbec offers ripe, almost raisiny dark fruit. There are aromas of caraway, pepper, oaky spice and a slight medicinal note. Fuller bodied, with medium acidity and ripe tannins. Very good length. Would work well with stews, roasts and beef short ribs. Excellent value. Dec. 2014.

Full-bodied, ripe malbec as one would expect from Argentina. Along with that ripe fruit is a considerably amount of mocha/chocolate flavours from the oak. I hesitate to call this over-oaked, as there is some good fruit to balance it. It is just a bit strong for my tastes. Still, there is alot to recommend, as this wine has more depth than most in the price range. Very good value at a discounted $12.95...but you gotta like oak. Tasted Feb 2015.
