Blackberries, coffee, meatiness, and herbs on the nose. It is juicy with soft tannins - very drinkable.
The 2012 Hardy’s Butcher’s Gold Shiraz Sangiovese has seductive aromas of black berry and black currant on the nose and red and black currants on the palate. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine; with forward acidity, refined tannins and a medium finish. This is a food friendly and sipping wine, drink now to 2019 (screw cap enclosure). My impression: NICE, 87 pts – recommended on quality basis - acidity and body are in harmony. The 2012 Hardys Chronicles Butchers Gold Shiraz Sangiovese, in 80%/20% proportions, has appealing aromas of stems, lees, baked raspberry and blackberry and a faint burnt match note. It is a full bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine; with forward acidity, refined, dusty tannins and a medium finish. Drink with food; drink now – 2018. My impression: NICE, 88 pst. Tasted at Australia Today 2014 Trade show http://grapeselections.com/australian-wine/ in Feb/14.

Rich, smooth, pepper spice. A bit harsh on the finish. Generally a good glass
