What an arid specimen, tasted blind so distinctly Bench Pinot though the earthy, cranberry and cherry dust had me...
A pale, pleasant, fruity, supple and light example of pinot from Rosewood, in the customary feminine house style....
This light to mid-weight pinot from the cooler 2011 vintage shows a very pretty nose of cranberry-raspberry fruit...
Light, lovely, with plenty of fruity spice, smoke and typical pinot character. Clean, neat and nicely composed....

Nice cherry, dried fruit and herbs on the nose and palate. It's really smooth and caressing with a little pepper on the finish. Probably needs a year or two for the flavours to develop, but who can wait...amazing value. (21.95)

The 2011 Rosewood Pinot Noir, aged in new and seasoned oak for 9 months, has intense aromas of raspberry, smoke, toasted wood and vanilla. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine; with forward acidity, subtle to refined tannins (decant for 15 min) and a long, moderately wood influenced finish. This is a food friendly wine; will reward 2014/15-2018 (evolution potential +1). My impression: NICE, 88(+1) pts. Tasted Nov/13.
