An affordable, enjoyable wine that is true to the region. Zenato doesn't mail this one in, showing the fine wine-making expertise that they bring to their more expensive products.
A solid, well focused wine in a price category where we expect more disjointed wines.
A good everyday value.
Tasted May 2014.
Very Enjoyable. Medium bodied and velvety. A great value. recommended.
This bottle may not be completely indicative of the wine. A distinct barn-yardy waft upon opening. Initially off-putting but I've had many Brunellos with a similar thing. It blew off after a while to reveal old leather, dark stewed berries, anise and smoke on the nose. Full body, plenty of acidity and some rustic tannin. Lots of rustic flavour: cooked strawberries, sour cherry, herbs, some woodiness and astringency. This packs quite a flavour wallop in the mouth. Interesting for the price. Try with a spicy pasta dish.

The 2010 Vintage: Soft, fruity, quite easy to like. Not particularly complex nor does it scream "Veneto" in its character, but a ver well-made balanced wine and an excellent value. I'd have no problem buying this again. Tasted June 2013.
Tried 2011 vintage. Not bad at all for $12. Good pick for an everyday wine. Tasted January 2015.
