Mature, savoury, open and fragrant red, made from organically grown grapes. There's an intriguing range of aromas...
This organically grown merlot has a rather earthy, pencil eraser nose with dried herbs/tea and dried berry/prune...

A surprisingly restrained and sophisticated California merlot. The aroma's are gorgeous and nuanced with fruit core of cassis but also notes of dried fruit and intermingling smoke, mocha, herbaceous and floral notes. The palate medium bodied with cassis and an earthy smokiness and soft drying tannins. Nicely balanced by moderate acidity. Might be worth holding a few for greater silkiness but it's lovely now too.
A rather un-Californian merlot. No sense of cloying cherry-cough-syrupy flavours that we often see in Californian reds at the LCBO, rather this wine strikes me as more St. Emilion. Bright red fruit, with notes of earth, and herbs, with good acidity and a dry firm finish. From organic grapes to boot. Very fine merlot. Drink now or can hold for a few years. Nice price too. Tasted March 2012.
This is a lovely, easy to drink and pair with anything Merlot. Fresh and love that it's organic. Another one to stock up on.
