90% Sangiovese / 10% Merlot. Nose of ripe fruit, slightly stewed: strawberry and cherry. The mouthfeel is soft and rounder than other bottles of Chianti; a hint of cocoa powder too – I like that. This could be your new go-to red! Try with full-flavoured meat-sauced dishes or pizza or roast chicken or an aged cheese tray… it’s a very food friendly wine. Tasted March 2012.

This had a really interesting and very distinct smell of maple!
In the end this was a sweet, thickish very commercial style of Chianti that didn't do much for me.
Ok for the price. Fan of sweet, easy drinking wines may like this quite a bit.
Not my thing.
