Nose: Sweet raspberry and alcohol fight for domination.
This is also reflected on the palate: Medium-light bodied, plenty of raspberry flavour and some herbal/earthy notes but it's all knocked slightly out of balance by a touch too much alcoholic heat. This would have been better had they kept the booze down to around 13-13.5%.
Decent Pinot, but not much of a value.

Pale ruby, clear, light looking red. Some newer oak comes to the nose immediately, followed by vanilla and dry soil. Not too much fruit on the nose. Med acidity, cranberry come through, but it does have a big filling alchohol finish which is more than usual for cool Otago.
Overall it's not offensive and would go good with roast fowl, chacuterie or ham sandwiches.
