Medium-high to highly aromatic nose offers lovely notes of dark red cherry, clove, and cinnamon spice aromas surrounding a savoury, earthy, and forest floor core. It is full-bodied and dense with lovely aroma replays, plus some iron and tobacco flavours that add complexity. Acids are fresh, while the big tannins are integrating well, but still on the young side. Cherry and spice notes linger on the finish, with excellent length. Tasted July/2019.

Silky, smooth, with complex flavours that fill the mouth. Red cherry, a bit of dried fruit, leather, finish with maturing tannin and just-right acidity. Wood is so well integrated that it goes unnoticed and there is no impression of this getting past its prime. No, it is not a wine for long term cellaring but it should hold for another 5 years. But it is in a sweet spot right now. Excellent. Tasted Dec 2020.
Tastes like quality: quite deliciously silky, with lots of fruit, some characteristic sangiovese herbs and leather, and a long finish. Ready for drinking now, (summer 2021), and excellent value for money.
