Selbach Riesling 2012 Bottle
Selbach Riesling 2012
Mosel, Germany
$15.99

For Selbach's entry level it is not overly sweet, has a nice level of acidity.
$16.95 in B.C.

I really like the old intimidating German Gothic labels, sad to see that Johannes went with this New World fish label back in 2002.

The bottle opening is almost too wide in diameter for my VacuVin to seal, and as this Riesling is only 10.5% alc. I will have to finish it all tonight.

La Posta Cocina Tinto Blend 2011 Bottle
La Posta Cocina Tinto Blend 2011
Mendoza, Argentina
$12.95

Really enjoyed this one, have had it a couple of times before over the last two years and it always seems to deliver.

Normally I would never open a bottle of wine from Mendoza while our moon is in it's Waning Gibbous phase, took a big chance and made an exception this time.

Cono Sur Bicicleta Pinot Noir 2012 Bottle
Cono Sur Bicicleta Pinot Noir 2012
Central Valley, Chile
$10.95

Great value. Enjoy swirling this in a Riedel 0403/07 Vosne-Romanee glass to take in that Pinot aroma.

Laya 2011, Almansa Do Bottle
Laya 2011, Almansa Do
Spain
$13.99

Very enjoyable and great value. Lots of dark fruit on the nose. Monastrell and French oak.
I will be buying this again.

Only issue is that winemaker Fran Gonzales was trained in Australia.

Mezzomondo Negroamaro Salento 2009, Puglia Bottle
Mezzomondo Negroamaro Salento 2009, Puglia
Puglia, Italy
$8.95

Very good value and nice drinking wine at the dinner table.

Much nicer than the people from the southern parts of Italy who are apathetic and totally indifferent to the world.

Gabbiano Chianti Classico 2009 Bottle
Gabbiano Chianti Classico 2009
Tuscany, Italy
$16.95

Light garnet. Tart cherry, fine tannins and nice finish. This saw a bit of time in large capacity French oak casks.

This is supposed to be paired ONLY with Tuscan Arista of pig and wild mushroom fricassee, and truffled cheese.
