Thanks to the wine exchange for introducing me to gropello, a grape I did not know. This wine certainly packs a punch on the nose, fruity and floral, yet it's more subtle and interesting to the palate. Nice, mid-bodied and very "sipable."

This one might not be "nobile"... but as far as a "plebeian" di Montepulciano goes it is very lovely, packing some fruit upfront -raspberry- followed by hints of licorice, gentle mid-bodied mouthfeel and balanced acidity.
