Pierre Amadieu Romane Machotte Gigondas 2012, Rhône Valley
Rhône, France$28.95
Very nice Gigondas. a GS blend (no Mourvedre), medium to full body. The nose is deceptive, as it reveals little of what is to come (if you open it a good half hour prior to pouring, that could help). Nice long finish.
Muga Reserva 2008, Doc Rioja
Spain$23.95
I love a good Rioja, deep beautiful colour, inviting nose, full body, fruity and oaky. I love all the things that others list when saying why they are not partial to them. But, when the Tempranillo-Granacha blend is right, how could you not love its richness? This Muga Reserva, 2008, is very close to perfection. Match it right (food and company wise) and it is a winner!
Concha Y Toro Terrunyo Peumo Vineyard Block 27 Carmenère 2011, Entre Cordilleras, Peumo, Cachapoal Valley
Cachapoal Valley, Chile$29.95
Domaine Baud Blanc De Blanc Brut, Crémant Du Jura

Delicious, creamy, bubbly Chardonnay!
Confidences De Prieuré Lichine 2010, Ac Margaux, 2nd Wine Of Château Prieuré Lichine
Bordeaux, France$48.95
Finesse. There is nothing overwhelming or salient about this one. Everything is well integrated, and all the subtleties are there to be discovered with careful attention. Your nose and palate will be rewarded.
Tawse Laundry Vineyard Cabernet Franc 2010, VQA Lincoln Lakeshore, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$31.95
Volpaia Chianti Classico 2010
Tuscany, Italy$27.95
This is Chianti at its best, elegant, lovely colour, refined berries and spices notes... Paired beautifully with a lasagna.
Baron De Ley Gran Reserva 2004, Doca Rioja
Rioja, Spain$29.95
Simply beautiful. Every bit as good as the 2001. Smooth elegance all the way!
