Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.

Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.

Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Abruzzo, Italy
$26.95

The fresh, medium to medium-high intensity nose has ripe fruited dark berry, black cherry, blackberry, and oak spice aromas with some sweet oak notes. The medium-full bodied palate is fairly concentrated with pleasing ripe blackberry, dark cherry, and oak spice replays, plus some clove notes, with a touch of sweetness. It has fresh, vibrant, and juicy acidity, along with smooth, chewy, and well-structured tannins. The finish is long and dry with savoury oak, and earthy notes. Tasted Apr. 2026.

Blend of 50% Tinta Roriz, 30% Touriga Nacional, and 20% Syrah. The medium+ intensity aromas are ripe and fruity with dark red cherry and sweet spices with touches of raisin and fig. It's medium+ with more ripe dark cherry, sweet spice and some raisiny flavours to go along with fresh, balanced acidity and supple, slightly chalky tannins. Sweet vanillin oak and savoury notes linger on the finish. Tasted Nov/2020.
