Marimar Estate La Masía Don Miguel Vineyard Chardonnay 2007, Russian River Valley, Sonoma County, Unfiltered

Elegant and rich but not overly rich and with nice balance, nice fruit, and clean lingering finish. Great wine, especially at this price.

Château Pegau Cuvée Maclura Côtes Du Rhône 2013

Finally an excellent Cotes Du Rhone with character. Traditional, with great depth and grip. Very much it's own wine, unlike the usual CRD selection we typically get here in Ontario. A really welcome change. Great with any summer BBQ, especially burgers, steak.

Burrowing Owl Chardonnay 2009, VQA Okanagan Valley

I"ll weigh in with a classic Canadian comment that I agree with a little bit of what all the Pro reviews say, even John! This is a really good chardonnay. Very nice with supper and not ordinary. I liked the 2008 better, but this is good too.

Cave Talmard Mâcon Uchizy 2009, Ac

Excellent Burgundy for this price. Agree with reviews from Sarah and John.

Château Hauchat 2009, Ac Fronsac

It has rich full fruit flavour and even tell-tale smooth Bordeaux smell and taste, which is nice at the price, but it is very sweet which is too over-powering for me - spend a bit more and get a better Bordeaux.

Château La Brie Prestige 2009, Ac Bergerac

Not much to add to the notes from JS and the vinatges panel, except to confirm this is terrific wine for 13.95! The depth and structure are really surprising for this price. Back up the truck!

Very nice stuff. Just enough richness and body; Smooth with nice finish. Good wine at this price.

Château De Maison Neuve 2009, Ac Montagne Saint émilion

Pretty good for this price. Definite bordeaux character on the nose. Rich, smooth body, maybe a little sweet and modern for a bordeaux traditionalist, but good stuff for sure.
