Rich, creamy with a nice balance of tropical fruit
Description: Bright gold in colour with a medium+ intense nose. This wine featuring lightly toasted oak, lemon meringue, mango, pineapple, sweet corn, dill, ginger, oak spice, roasted almonds, butterscotch and Easter lily on the finish. Full body with good acidity, a long length and the alcohol is well integrated.
Negatives: 14.5% alcohol
Interesting Note: This vintage is superior to the 2011 vintage that I reviewed in 2013, but also this one is $5 more expensive & worth the extra money.
Drink now or over the next 5 years on its own or pair it with Creamy Chicken Fettuccine with zesty nutmeg and lemon sauce.
